Introduction:
With the ever-increasing healthcare costs, the expansion of interventions and processes, particularly in the domain of chronic and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), alongside the limitations in resources in this sector, underscores the necessity of focusing on various aspects of health economics in research and policymaking. The Health Economics Research Group at the Chronic Diseases Research Center, part of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, was established with the aim of enhancing the generation of specialized evidence and serving as a consultant to various research teams in this domain.
Mission:
The mission of this research group is categorized into the following areas:
- Expanding applied research in health management systems, policymaking, and health economics in the domain of chronic and non-communicable diseases.
